Since opening in Oxford two decades ago, the OSE Junior School has provided English language courses and activity programmes to some 7,000 students.

Core Programme

English Plus

Our 15 hours per week English Plus course is open to all students, with classes at every level, from Beginner (A0) to Proficiency (C2). Covering every aspect of English language learning – listening, speaking, reading, writing, with additional work on vocabulary and pronunciation – our courses are designed to make significant improvements to students’ ability in a short time.

Future Lawyers Plus

This course is designed and taught by Masters or PhD graduates who are experts in their field. Students will be taught age-appropriate case studies, learn about various law types and prepare for a final task – a mock trial held in a court room in the centre of Oxford. – our courses are designed to make significant improvements to students’ ability in a short time.

Young Entrepreneurs Plus

This course guides students through a range of business and leadership challenges, teaching them to apply rational and critical thinking to the kind of testing situations they may face in the future and to develop new management skills. – our courses are designed to make significant improvements to students’ ability in a short time.

Cultural programme

Oxford is one of the world’s most beautiful and culturally rich cities. Our cultural programme helps students explore its highlights, including visits to Christ Church College (featured in the Harry Potter films) and Oxford Castle.

Beyond sightseeing, our activity-packed schedule includes sports, quizzes, karaoke, film nights, discos, and a farewell party—ensuring students make the most of every moment.

University Preparation

University brings new challenges, and our course helps students succeed from day one. While focused on UK universities, the skills gained are valuable worldwide.

Intensive english

tudents on our English Plus course can boost their learning with Intensive English—6 hours of study per day, 4 days a week—for faster progress and maximum language exposure.

Intensive students also enjoy:

Full-day excursions every Saturday
Half-day trips on Wednesdays
Evening activities (daily for residential students, twice weekly for homestay students)

Photography

Our photography course helps students build a strong foundation in composition, lighting, contrast, effects, and editing. They’ll explore techniques like macro, depth of field, long exposure, movement, and Light Painting, while learning to enhance images using Photoshop.

Most importantly, students deepen their camera skills and begin to develop their own unique style.

Student Activities and Excursions

Our Summer School programme includes a wide variety of social activities and excursions, giving students the chance to have fun, make friends, and explore new places—all while practising their English in real-life settings.
