How to obtain a CAS number issued by Oxford School of English

  • We will send you login details for an online language test provided by Oxfordenglishtesting, an external language test provider affiliated to Oxford University Press.
  • When you have passed the test with CEFR level B1 or higher we will request a CAS number from the United Kingdom Border Agency. If your test results show that your language level is below level B1 you cannot apply for a General Student Visa but you can still come to study with a Student Visitor Visa (see left).

  • The language test provider will email you a report card of your test which must also be attached to your application form.

Please note: once a CAS number is assigned to you NO ALTERATIONS OF THE DETAILS YOU SUBMITTED TO US CAN BE MADE except for the PAYMENT DETAILS. IF CHANGES HAVE TO BE MADE THE ENTIRE CAS PROCESS HAS TO BE WITHDRAWN AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED GBP 25 FOR A NEW CAS NUMBER.
