 | Welcome to the ISIS Oxford School of English! Located in the very centre of Oxford, just a few metres from all the main bus stops and a very short walk from most of the city’s key attractions, Oxford School of English is one of the city’s most popular English language schools.

Academic Excellence
 | Many of our English courses lead to Cambridge Certificate exams (FCE, CAE, CPE etc). Our results are usually among the best in Oxford. We run IELTS courses all year round, and because we are Oxford's TOEFL iBT exam centre, there is no better language school in Oxford for TOEFL preparation.

General Courses
 | Our general English courses are extremely flexible and can be anything between 5 and 35 hours a week. We run courses at all levels from Beginner (CEF level A1) to Proficiency (CEF level C2). There are no more than 15 students per class (most classes average about 10 students, though many are smaller), and students are constantly monitored to assess their progress. As with all our English courses, our General English courses are among the cheapest of all of the Oxford English schools. |
Exam Courses
 | Several of our classes prepare students for the internationally-recognised Cambridge Certificate Exams, such as First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). In recent years, our students have frequently achieved a 100% pass rate in these exams.
We offer one of the best, and cheapest, IELTS preparation courses in Oxford, with candidates often achieving the highest scores (including the maximum, band 9).
We are Oxford's testing centre for TOEFL iBT (internet-based test), so we offer a unique opportunity to study and prepare for the TOEFL iBT in the place where you will take the test. |
Specialist Courses
 | Oxford School of English offers regular Academic English and Business English courses. These can be in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and lessons can be held at almost any time. As well as teaching the principals of these areas of the language and preparing candidates for specific Business English and Academic English exams, we assist students with dissertations, projects, CVs and business reports (Recently, for example, our teachers have helped with proposals for sustainable energy in Eastern Europe, credit assessments of Asian shipping companies and academic papers on German literature). |
University Foundation Course
 | We have recently set up a university foundation course to prepare students for studying at university in English-speaking countries. The course includes general English lessons, specialised language courses, where students learn English which is specific to their intended university subjects, and study skills to help students overcome the problems of studying in a foreign language. 즐거운 여가 시간 활용옥스포드는 여가시간을 즐길 수 있는 많은 소재가 있습니다. 박물관, 화랑, 공연극장 및 영화관, 유명한 식물원인 보타닉 가든(Botanic garden), 유구한 역사를 자랑하는 고색 창연한 대학 칼리지들, 두개의 시장, 흥미 만점인 각종 가게들이 즐비한 거리들이 산재해 있습니다. 날씨가 좋으면 시내 중심가에서는 거리 예술가들이 구경꾼들에게 각종 음악과 퍼포먼스를 제공해 주기도 합니다.  좀더 색다른 것을 원하는 학생들은 시내를 관통하여 흐르고 있는 강(River Cherwell)에서 보트놀이를 즐기거나 전통적인 옥스포드 경주, 시내 각 대학의 운동장에서 열리는 크리켓, 럭비 등을 즐길 수 있습니다. 옥스포드는 영국에서도 가장 아름다운 야외지역으로 둘러싸여 있습니다. 특히, 코츠올드(Cotswold)에 있는 전통적인 석조 마을들과 구릉 언덕 등이 유명합니다. 런던은 옥스포드에서 비교적 근거리이며 코우치 버스는 하루종일 매 15분 간격으로 런던으로 출발하며 약 90분이 소요됩니다. 런던 뿐만 아니라 다른 주요 도시들도 옥스포드에 인접해 있습니다. 학교 사회체험 프로그램 저희 학교는 학생들과 학교 임직원들을 위하여 다양한 주간 행사들을 주관하고 있습니다. 매주 목요일 저녁에는 시내의 펍에서 만나는 Pub Night가 있어서 새로운 친구들을 사귈 수 있고 특히 회화연습을 할 수 있으며 기타 재미난 일들을 많이 즐길 수 있습니다. 또한 바베큐 파티, 옥스포드 시내 관광, 다른 영어 학교들과의 퀴즈대회, 축구경기, 파티 및 예술극장, 영화관 순례 등을 하고 있습니다(이러한 야외 활동은 해가 금방 지는 추운 겨울보다는 날이 길고 따뜻한 여름에 더욱 좋습니다). 저희 학교는 이 모든 사회 활동 프로그램을 저렴한 가격으로 즐길 수 있도록 마련하고 있습니다. 주말에는 또한 저렴한 가격으로 일일코스의 타 지역 여행을 주선하고 있습니다. 런던, 바쓰, 스트래트퍼드 어폰 에이번, 브라이튼, 캠브리지를 여행할 수 있으며 더불어 암스테르담, 파리, 스코틀랜드, 웨일즈 등도 여행할 수 있도록 해 주고 있습니다. 또한 원하는 경우, 웨일즈 지방에서의 주말 승마 체험도 주선해 주고 있습니다. 그밖에 옥스포드에서 현재 일어나고 있는 각종 최신 정보를 아시고자 하면 www.dailyinfo.co.uk 나 www.visitoxford.org 를 클릭하면 됩니다.
